Women still face unique obstacles to healthcare every day. We believe that gender should never be a barrier to quality, equitable, and dignified healthcare experiences. POWER (The Promotion of Wellness, Education and Research) Foundation was born out of a need for quality sexual and reproductive healthcare for all women.
Established in 2016 as the Pelvic Floor Foundation of South Africa (PFFSA), the foundation has played a crucial role in the global advancement of innovative interventions in the field of women’s health through pre-clinical and clinical research and advanced training of healthcare professionals.
Built on PFFSA’s trusted reputation in research and training pelvic healthcare, as well as the expertise of its founders Professor Jan-Paul Roovers and Professor Stephen Jeffery, POWER was established as a champion of women’s health care and well-being.
In a society where women face unique barriers to healthcare, we serve as a lifeline. Your support enables us to break down these barriers and ensure that every woman receives the care she deserves.
